'''Document Length''' sets how many words a made-up page holds, and the figure after the plus or minus sign sets how far the lengths spread around that. The lengths offered run from 100 to 20,000 words and the spreads from 25 to 400.

Each page's length is drawn from a bell curve centered on the length with the spread as its width, so pages vary in size as real pages do while the average stays where it was set. A longer page takes longer to build, send, and index, so this setting is one way to put load on the fetchers and the indexer.
